Zanjan

Zanjan is a district in West Persia surrounded by significant carpet production centers: in the North there is Hamadan, in the East there is Bijar and in the West Ghazwin. The many influences are probably the reason why there are many variations in Zanjan designs. Zanjan rugs are mainly made by the peasant women of the Kolyai tribes.
